vineyard is to take Bonanza Bus to Woods Hole, MA, then take ferry from Woods Hole. Bonanza Bus has nine buses going to Woods hole almost every two hours; and Steamship Authority has plenty of ships transporting you from Wood's hole to Martha's vineyard.To get to Salem, you need to take subway to South station, then ride commuter rail (North Sation) or bus #594. To get to JFK library and Uni Mass, you can ride the ride line and get off at JFK, then ride the free #2 bus.

May 28 Newport, RI

10:15am-11:50am Bonanza Bus from South station to Newport. night at William Gyles Guesthouse (family style lodging, pleasant experience); afternoon- walk along harbor and historic Newport.

May 29 NewPort 17 mile hike: Cliff walk + Ocean drive

Cliff walk starts about 20min walk distance from Downtown Newport, difficulty level is easy to medium; you can see the breakers, the marble house, the Rosecliff along cliff walk. Ocean drive is more suitable for bicycling or driving, but I did on foot any way. Advice will be to wear a hat, a winter coat plus your summer clothes even in summer because it's really cold along the ocean.

May 30 Newport

touring the Elms and the houses along Bellevue Ave(built in guilded ages by industrial moguls). afternoon take Bonanza Bus back to Boston

May 31 morning Boston flight back

note: food recommendation in Newport: handy lunch (frequent by locals), H2o(along the harbor and good for sunset time and not very expensive), FLO's Clam shack.
